The Story
Finca Hoyo Frío — Our Family’s Heart in Every Cup Nestled in the mountains of Curití, Santander (1,900–2,000 MASL), Hoyo Frío is where our family’s coffee journey begins. Led by my relative Félix Torres Morantes alongside our family, we take pride in running every stage of the business ourselves—from nurturing the crops and perfecting the traditional washed process to roasting and serving the final cup. Grown with care, our Castillo and Colombia varietals (with subtle traces of Caturra) showcase the finest traits of Colombian terroir:
- Flavour Profile: A bright, crisp, apple-like acidity matched with a medium, silky, and exceptionally clean body.
- Tasting Notes: Crisp green and red apple, sweet cane sugar and panela, sweet citrus, and soft floral undertones of jasmine, alongside comforting notes of apple crumble pie, roasted almonds, and cocoa in a rich cup.
Versatile and deeply satisfying, Hoyo Frío shines across any brewing method—from espresso to pour-over or French press. Every cup is a celebration of our heritage, our dedication, and the pride of serving you coffee from our very own family farm.
