Method
Warm it up – Half-fill your French press with boiling water. Swirl it around, then pour it out. This keeps your coffee cozy and warm.
Add the coffee – Scoop in your favorite grounds.
First pour – Pour hot water (just off the boil, around 94°C / 201°F) to half-fill the press.
Bloom time – Wait 1 minute for the coffee to bloom and form a crust. Then gently stir 3 times to release all those delicious aromas.
Top it off – Pour in the rest of your water to fill the French press.
Lock in the heat – Place the plunger on top (don’t press yet!) to keep your coffee warm.
Brew – Let it steep for 4 minutes.
Final touch – Slowly plunge, then pour immediately and enjoy that rich, aromatic cup of coffee you just made!
